Supportive Housing Program
A Safety Net for Mothers Towards Increased Independence.
After leaving our Residential Program at Michael House, mothers and their young families often need continued support. Our Supportive Housing Program at Emily’s Place provides a safety net for mothers in this critical transition to increased independence.
Our Supportive Housing Program at Emily’s Place provides 8 two-bedroom apartments where mothers can continue to develop and apply the positive parenting and life skills they learned in the Residential Program. At Emily’s Place, young families live in a home-like setting with a private kitchen, bedrooms, and living space. They also share bright communal spaces where moms and their children can enjoy the company of other families, along with the support of Michael House’s caring and qualified staff.
With the help of a dedicated support worker, mothers in our Supportive Housing Program use their strengths and resources to address any issues or concerns that may prevent them from providing a stable and safe environment for their child(ren) and themselves. These include regular check-ins to evaluate a mother’s goals, progress, and concerns in a comfortable, safe, and nurturing environment.
