Aftercare Program
Get Support After You Leave
Our Aftercare Program provides continuity and continued support as mothers and their children move on from our Residential and/or Supportive Housing Programs.
Our families continue to require some care and support as they move into the community, so Michael House’s Aftercare Program provides this care.
The move into independent living introduces new stresses that can make the transition difficult. Our Aftercare Program helps mothers retain the skills and everything they have accomplished in our Residential and/or Supportive Housing Programs to remain focused and able to achieve their goals. This includes ongoing access to counselling and our Drop-in Program.
Our Aftercare worker’s support helps moms to develop a supportive community network, access community resources, manage housing issues, find employment, and/or continue schooling opportunities. Our Aftercare Workers also assist mothers with parenting coaching as the child(ren) grows. All of this support is essential so that mothers and their young families can thrive in their independent lives in the community.
