Gifts in Kind / Item Donations

  • We are in need of a gently used:
    • Microwave
    • vacuum (small)
    • fridge (good working condition)
    • camera
  • We are currently not able to take donations of used baby items as our cupboards are blissfully full. Please check back again after September 1st!
  • We have a great need for a Snowblower in good working condition. (Or a kind person willing to help with our snow removal!)
  • We are currently looking for new items to be used as prizes or auction items in one of our upcoming fundraisers.
  • We are always looking for unopened bags of diapers or new cans of PC infant formula. We occasionally also have need of larger items such as newer car seats, strollers, cribs, etc. (Please see recommendations.) Call 519-766-7675 to arrange a time the item can be dropped off. Note that we do not have the ability to pick up donations.

Donations Help Both of Us!

Michael House is a registered charity under the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA). As such, when you make a monetary donation over $20 (or upon request) you will receive a tax deductable (charitable) receipt that you can use to reduce your taxable income on your tax return next April.

Spending of funds is confined to board approved programs and projects. Each restricted contribution designated towards a board approved program or project will be used as designated with the understanding that when the need for such a program or project has been met, or cannot be completed for any reason determined by the board, the remaining restricted contributions designated for such program or project will be used where needed most.

Donations must be received and receipted before December 31 in any given year to be used on your current year's tax return. Donations made on January 1 or later will be on the following year.
